Stranded student Pete (Ron Eldard) gets a lift from racist trucker Zack and repays the favor by inviting him in for dinner with his roommates, Jude (Cameron Diaz), Luke (Courtney B. Vance), Marc (Jonathan Penner) and Paulie (Annabeth Gish). When Zack praises Hitler and pulls a knife at the table, the roommates kill him. Rationalizing their actions as a favor to humanity, they bury Zack in the yard and begin to invite other offensive types to a string of similarly murderous meals.

Instead, in its radical attempts to show a war of liberal left vs. radical right, it fails to present true nuance in either camp. In presenting them in such black and white terms, neither come across as reasonable.

…there’s lots of films designed to make us angry, but few that aim to defuse that bomb; The Last Supper has a minimal reputation, but this trenchant view of the schisms of society has more than a little truth behind it….

I Love the New Biblical movies. Great Cinematography along with more realistic versions. These were all just normal people, Like Us. Who would have guessed? Besides Jesus.

I really liked how the actors got into their roles so well. I think that people watching the movie and other people really liked the fact that he is so naturally and elegantly immersed in his role.
