The Cursed Legion T @GAVINSISEMORE Dec 7 I had a hard time sitting through this movie. great concept but the detail's just didn't seem right for a film set in 2149. the movie is almost entirely narrated which didn't feel right to me. See more Bobby G @RT05648060 Nov 13 My thoughts as I watched it: The year and the tech doesn't add up. Where did the food come from? It was a small building in the middle of no where. How did he go to the bathroom? Where did he go? How did he take showers or clean himself? How are primitive people around but the more advanced people dont know it? How did they craft those clothes with no obvious way they would be able to. I suppose they could be pre-disaster, but they were in really good shape and my guess is its been atleast a decade. I can handle a low budget. I mean some of the best movies ever made were back when it was acting that carried a movie. This movie just wasn't well thought out. It had a partial concept but no one really put any deep thought into it. See more Zen B @RT14086199 Aug 22 This is a charming movie that I highly recommend to anyone who is stressed out by today’s dark energy. Syfy that just adds to already morose feeling of doom. It starts out like so many other futuristic, sci-fi movies. then it develops into a much more positive and uplifting concept that makes for a great family entertainment. Not much action, not much violence not much blood nice character development you don’t see stuff like this too often these days. Take advantage of it. The dings are - it isn't a full movie, the world building setup makes no sense (other reviewers have gone into this in more detail), and it is pretty low budget. That all said, it is a cute short story with likeable characters and some pretty decent pokes at how technology isolates us. The movie even goes so far as make the isolation LITERAL with the pods. See more Katy M @RT44639513 01/13/2025 The film itself was not bad. It was well shot, the acting was good all round. But I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. When it got to the end of the film I was shocked it had ended. It felt like I had finished the first episode of a show and something was finally about to start happening. I think the concept would'vs done better as a show due to the realistic and slow pace of Darwin's recovery. The overall energy of the show was tepid, one child took minor issue with Darwins presence, one teenager cried about being abandoned. Other than that the whole pace was slow and pleasant. Possibly realistic but certainly tepid. Really this film was about human connection and what we lose when we replace it with technology. Misrepresented as a dystopian adventure full of mystery.
