Aadu 3: Part 1 feels like a film trapped in its own ambition. While it expands the universe in an interesting manner, it loses sight of the tight, irreverent humour that made the previous films click in the first place. Go to Full Review

Towards the end of the film, the crossing of timelines throws up some interesting encounters, but not consequential enough to elevate the film, which aimlessly meanders for a good part of its runtime. Go to Full Review

Although crafted by Midhun Manuel Thomas himself, the creator of the franchise, the movie comes across as an amateurish fan-fiction, with the soul of the original completely missing. Go to Full Review

John Mar 25 Idk it’s just not that much funny as the other and little slow See more stephin Mar 22 nice movie lot's for fun to watch See more av 8 @RT99530239 2d Aadu 3 was a total leap in genre as compared to the previous two movies. While Jayasurya and the rest of the cast effortlessly slipped into their roles and delivered monumentally, along with the iconic background scores which amplified the viewers' immersion, the movie overall did not strike me as something memorable. The VFX was actually horrible and bugged me a lot. The shots and contrasts hitched frequently and felt disruptive. Personally, as stunning as Alleya Bourne is, she was such a horrible decision because her face remained bland throughout, where eye actors would have been a great pick. Her script was severely limited to "shit". The plot is quite clever. The first part prior to the interval feels too long and is less eventful. I could not tell at times if they meant the period drama to appear so superficial for the elements of comedy or not. The second part had a handful happening all at once and it was fun to see so many of the characters bring life to the screen again. See more arvind S @Arvind100 Mar 26 It is always a joy to watch this gang of friends get into all sorts of trouble. And the best part is we get Jayasurya in a comic role for the first time in 8 years. And to get a performance that reminds you of the Jayasurya that you grew up watching is nothing short of a treat. Saiju Kurup, another actor who I absolutely love watching, gets more screentime and prominence in this sequel. Sunny Wayne's fake British accent just goes to prove how good he is at comedy. Vinayakan always gets the best dialogues and he aces it yet again. Aadu 3 shuffles between past and present, and the thing that bothered me were the scenes set in the past. They do not have the same impact of comic timing as the present setting. Aadu 3 is a bit of a stretch at 162 minutes, but Shaji Paapan and his streak of bad luck continue to provide the kind of entertainment that movies of today lack. After a cliffhanger ending, a final installment is in the offing, and I hope that comes out soon.
