Young Keda tries to survive alone in the wilderness after he's left for dead during his first hunt with his Cro-Magnon tribe. He soon forms an unlikely alliance with a lone wolf that was abandoned by its pack. Facing overwhelming odds and nonstop danger, Keda and the wolf must now trek through a harsh and unforgiving landscape to make it home before winter.

The film takes on a plastic, almost sterile feel, and the rugged landscape is less of a character, where it needs to be the center of the movie, especially since Alpha is in serious need of some star power

Containing bits of Quest For Fire, The Revenant, Jeremiah Johnson, The Grey, 2001: A Space Odyssey, and maybe even a little bit of The Lion King, Alpha deftly mixes the survival, coming-of-age and shaggy dog genres to brilliant, mesmerizing effect.

Everything in "Alpha" was delightful. Stunning cinematography, highly skilled actors, convincing re-creation of the environment and culture from 20,000 years ago. The plot, though not overstated in a cheap, maudlin way, grabs your heart, won't let you go. I have watched "Alpha" twice now. It is well worth a second watch. It's likely that I will watch it again in a few years.

I saw this listed in the filmography of Natassia Malthe, and I wondered what it was about. So, I took a look at the synopsis and had to admit it looked interesting. 18000 BC. A tribe of humans participates in a hunt that sees its chief’s son to prove the mettle of his worth. The son is a sweet young man, but in this savage world, a man must prove himself with his hands as much as his heart. It would appear that the son, in an act of foolishness, gets separated from the pack, but it is reliance on a canine that he refers to as Alpha that leads him home. This was profoundly amazing. So much great acting over modest to most distinguished performers. I don’t know how else to describe this other than genius filmmaking. A well spent time.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

Best movie I've seen in a long time. Loved it so much I watched a 2nd time before it goes off Netflix. Felt every emotion & got the meaning without understanding a single word. Highly, highly recommend. Action, Love, trust, honor, loyalty this movie has it all.

Synopsis
