In New York City in 1987, a handsome, young urban professional, Patrick Bateman (Christian Bale), lives a second life as a gruesome serial killer by night. I just love being able to see old movies in the big screen. Being born too late for the great bands is a drag, but it's great to be able to see old movies in the way they were supposed to be seen. Love retro days.

Christian Bale's Career defining performance. Christian Bale delivers a tour de force performance as Patrick Bateman. Bale's performance was both chilling and charismatic. The film perfectly balances gratuitous violence with dry humor and satire. Having not read the original novel, the ending left me slightly disoriented, but I believe that ambiguity is what exactly makes it work. It serves as the perfect ending leaving the audience to question everything they just witnessed. Whether you see it as a horror or comedy, it remains a cult classic.

There’s just something about this movie that I can’t explain. Possibly my favorite movie of all time. Christian Bale is extraordinary- thankfully he didn’t listen to the people who told him that this role would kill his career. Bravo, Mary Harron.
