Sal's empty eyes seem to have been living only on memories since he lost Zoe, the love of his life: memories like fragments of a shattered mirror that cannot be put back together. His sister Ebe, who observes her brother with growing concern, suggests he turn to Another End, a new technology that promises to ease the pain of separation by briefly bringing back to life the consciousness of those who have died. Sal finds Zoe again in this way, but in the body of another woman. A body he does not know but in which he is mysteriously able to recognise his wife. What was broken suddenly seems to come together again. In fact, Another End grants Sal the time to share a little more life with Zoe, to love her again, to be loved by her, to say goodbye in the end. But this is a fragile, ephemeral, insidious joy and, having arrived at the end of the programme, Sal has no intention of meekly watching as his love dissolves in the definitive loss of his wife. He tries to find her in Ava, the woman who had lent her body to Zoe’s consciousness. Perhaps love really does survive and eternity is promised through physical bodies.

If only the film’s stodgy beginning and its semi-interesting middle stretch could match the utter ridiculousness of Another End’s, well, end, then you’d at least have an entirely unpredictable kind of film.

It’s an original film, very well acted (some reservations about the supporting characters) and with striking cinematography. Although the script has a few plot holes and narrative missteps, overall it feels like a refreshing proposal in a landscape where truly different romantic films are in short supply.

When it comes to sci fi romance that come up fer me is Master of Horror John Carpenter’s Starman with Jeff Bridges is actually one of kind. But the acting n concept was actually good, love myself some romcom films, but drama to it. In. How Gael Garcia play Sal depresing soul lost girlfriend in car accident play Renate Reinsve didn’t work for me not even in the second arc, what did is Berenice Bejo relationship with, always caring, given best, work for that memory company, really brought some clues that sold me, was more interested in Ebe than Ava. That remind me of Black Mirror episode. So conclude is the movie worth yer time, depend if ye going for experimental film, with awesome first arc, n not finish it? Like that’s all can say, the acting from the brothers work a lot, Open for any sci fi that doesn’t involve action, but more yer artsy ones From the Orange Clock, to 2001:Space Odyssey.

Synopsis
