Atlas is predictable which can be seen as a good and a bad thing. I’m not going to rewatch it incessantly like some of my other favorite sci-fi flicks and you’re most likely not going to either.

Unlike most crybabies, I love AI and the idea of them. The neural link plot point was cool, and it was nice seeing AI integrated into normal reality. However, the movie overall was meh. Really not that impressive. Lopez is not the best at action movies. The Zoe robot saying "my pronouns are" made me laugh like crazy. I LOVE that this movie made fun of pronouns. Why did Atlas's alarm sound like "gay gay gay"? lol "Hey, don't scan me!" "I read your badge." LOL, love Smith. "I know what a goddamn pie is." "Do you need the definition of a goddamn cake?" I'M DYING! I love AI.

The exploration of the idea of neural links to AI was a nice idea but then the writers appear to have run out of ideas. And the way the Atlas character was portrayed, as a whiny cry baby, became too annoying to hold interest.

I could have given this five stars. It has an excellent plot outline. The acting is fine. The scripting and direction is abysmal. Apparently 100,000 light years in our own Galaxy isn't enough so they have to go 2.5 million light years to catch the rogue AI. All of this in a future where humans apparently have not colonized any other planets even in our own solar system. Idiot plot devices abound. It's still worth watching but the script was written by fools. Setting this on Mars would have made logical sense and made this far more coherent. Stop treating the audience like 4-year-olds.

This is a decent movie if you love sci fi, but as AI seems more and more to be used for relatively vapid, nefarious and destructive purposes, it's begun to feel like bald-faced propaganda.

J. Lo was absolutely great in this movie. Would definitely love to watch an Atlas 2. Her relationship with Smith grew at a perfect pace. This movie was definitely an enjoyable watch.
