goo gle i @RT00684691 01/30/2025 Ok, for sentimental reasons this is my all time favorite French movie (even beating Chocolat and other foodie movies that I frequent). And it *is* sentimental, and Reno plays his typical tough guy with heart of gold as we've seen in The Professional, Ronin, etc. BUT, unlike the infamous Emily in Paris, the sites/flavors/drinks/etc are all authentic southern France, and I have the same actual brands of Rosé/Pastis/Farigoule to sip while watching the movie. I've visited all the locations which are real too, so a nice travelogue in addition to cute story. Detestabile il nonno, compiaciuto e convinto delle proprie idee, pronto a scornare con tutti pur di avere ragione. Questa pellicola mi ha lasciato un certo disagio e ben poca ambrosia, ma tutto sommato riesce a essere godibile a suo modo, merito di alcune scene più che decenti. See more 11/30/2014 Unashamedly French culturally, but Hollywood feelgood stylistically, this tale of family dynamics is largely comic, with superficially meaningful relationships played out against a backdrop of Provencal tourist attractions. Jean Reno and Anna Galiena both do a great job in preventing the film from being completely inauthentic. Provence and the Camargue are beautiful, so this was nice easy viewing Saturday night fare.
