The movie focuses heavily on the disturbing jail experience while leaving many important parts of the actual story unexplained. The case feels incomplete, Gayatri’s role is confusing, and the ending is extremely disappointing. Overall, a frustrating and very unpleasant viewing experience. This sets the stage for what initially seems like a powerful courtroom drama exploring false accusations and their consequences. However, the movie then shifts drastically away from this theme and turns into a prisoner-in-trial storyline, largely abandoning the courtroom drama and the issue it introduced so strongly. Because of this sudden change in direction, it becomes difficult to understand what the movie is actually trying to say or even what kind of movie it wants to be. A promising and thought-provoking premise ultimately gets lost in an unclear and inconsistent narrative.
