[Battlestar Galactica] Razor's best service, beyond reminding us why Galactica is one of the best television shows on the air, is in filling in the story's historical gaps. Go to Full Review

In keeping in line tonally with the rest of the series, as well as for the way it adds new texture to old ideas, "Razor" becomes not so much an anomaly as a valuable part of the story so far. Go to Full Review

Daniel L Nov 19 More Battlestar Galactica awesomeness. Glad they made a movie showing the Pegasus' perspective. See more g j Jul 21 More of a series of vignettes than a film, some of which are reasonably engaging, and others fall flat. I quite enjoyed young Adama. I did not care for the new character Shaw, whom I found very poorly acted and quite grating. I enjoyed Michelle Forbes in the main series. It felt like she was phoning it in here though See more VictimlessG @TheOGWatcher 05/18/2024 Everything that’s great about the series was complimented by this mid-season spinoff special that dives deeper into the backstory of the Pegasus crew that keeps up with the great BSG dramatic writing and performances. See more 03/23/2019 A Sci-Fi Channel special event, Battlestar Galactica: Razor is a thrilling, action-packed adventure. When Lee Adama takes command of the Battlestar Pegasus he chooses Kendra Shaw, a protege of the late Admiral Cain who's haunted by the things she and the Pegasus crew have done to survive the war with the Cylons, to be his XO and help restore the crew's dignity and honor. Stephanie Jacobsen gives an excellent performance, making Shaw one of the most compelling characters of the series, and Michelle Forbes returns to reprise her role as Admiral Cain. Most of Battlestar Galactica's main cast make appearances, and there are subtle references to several Season 2 episodes that place the story in context. Unfortunately the CGI isn't up to the film's ambitious vision, as some of the Cylon Centurions and space ships are a little video game graphicy. Still, the action sequences are intense and exciting, and the writers do a good job at interweaving the backstories into the main plot. Battlestar Galactica: Razor is a powerful sci-fi drama that enriches the series and fills-in some of the missing pieces. See more Read all reviews
