Bud (Pauly Shore) and Doyle (Stephen Baldwin) get simultaneously dumped by their eco-conscious girlfriends, Monique (Joey Lauren Adams) and Jen (Teresa Hill), in the middle of the desert. Needing a bathroom, the two friends enter what they think is a mall but soon realize is a high-profile, secure biological experiment. As they engage in a year-long battle with Dr. Faulkner (William Atherton) and the other scientists, Bud and Doyle are forced to confront the recklessness of their behavior.

Comedy is, I think, the most subjective of film genres, so I can only reflect my own opinion: Shore has a perverse talent to actively leave comedy less funny than when he found it.

This movie in no way has any great quality. However, I think you have to rate a movie in comparison to movies of its genre, as well as what was expected coming in. I think if anyone rates this below a 10% they havent seen how bad some movies can be. Once again, there is nothing special about the movie. A couple phrases that stick with you after watching. Pauly Shore is exactly who he has always been. I dont hate the movie but I really have to not care about movies to watch it.

This movie is a rollicking a good time! Sometimes you need a feel good flick to turn your day around and Bio-Dome is just that. Absolutely hysterical and highly underrated.

I created a Rotten Tomato account because I noticed this movie only has a 4% rating which honestly is just flat out offensive. To this day, this hilarious and chaotic artistic masterpiece and ode to environmental awareness is the sole reason I don’t litter.
