Deckard (Harrison Ford) is forced by the police Boss (M. Emmet Walsh) to continue his old job as Replicant Hunter. Ridley Scott ought to be a set decorator, rather than a director. In Blade Runner, he loses sight of the story while devoting all his attention to decor and lighting. The decor and lighting, it must be admitted, are stupendous.

My favorite film. Breath-taking, beautiful, absolute perfection scene setting and aesthetics. Best props in the modern film & TV industry I'd say. The theme is absolutely one of the most meaningful as well, as it is an adaptation to the novel 'Do androids dream of electric sheep', which is also one of my favorite dystopian novels. Master piece, left me absolutely amazed. Very, very great and impressive.

Wow I can’t say enough about this film. Dark, gritty, and surreal. It takes the story it’s based on and improves it a lot. The original story is still good and I do recommend reading it, but the film was a treat to watch.

For years, people have urged me to watch Blade Runner, and for no good reason, I kept putting it off. Honestly, it feels like I’ve been ignoring a text from someone destined to be my perfect match. Now that I’ve finally seen it, I am absolutely blown away. It is a masterpiece.

Soooo BORING. The special effects are mind blowing, the acting is great, the atmosphere is rich and feels very real, but the plot dragssss ass. I almost fell asleep watching it. I get why Blade Runner impresses fans so much, I get how good a job the filmmakers did world building, but it ends up feeling like 90% of what I watched was world building. The twist at the very end when Deckard gets spared by Roy is deep enough that I give it 3 1/2 stars when I otherwise would have given it 2 1/2. Not for me, not for many, but understandably great to some.
