The romantic relationship with her sister was illogical and the killer’s reveal was baffling. Not sure what the thought process was behind this movie but it needed a fresh pair of eyes before getting the script approved. See more arcticbabe2006 T @FunSized76 Jan 13 There’s a reason why book nerds like me say the book is ALWAYS better. Because it always is. The book and the movie are so different it’s just sad. SPOILER: in the book, Buddy is a good dude, some other lunatic that Eastwood pissed off when he was a Fed was the killer and took it all the way to Mexico. I always read the books first and by the movie I’m just disappointed (except for Silence of the Lambs) This time, I saw the movie when it first came out BEFORE I read the book. When I did get the book to read, I kept waiting for the drop that Buddy was the bad guy. Next thing I knew I finished the book. I really wish they would stop doing this. See more Darren C @RT26505387 Aug 7 How this movie rates so low is beyond me. It's definitely not Eastwood's greatest but even his more middling efforts are superior compared to Joe Bloggs average. Yes you can see the prestige coming a mile off but it's well acted and passes the time very nicely indeed. If you are looking for a decent crime thriller you could do a lot worse than Blood Work.
