I think Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway did their best in this movie, but the script isn't doing them any favors. The story often raises a lot of questions, and I feel like the whole situation feels a bit silly and resolvable. I think the movie has some sweet notes, especially near the end, but the characters are so one-dimensional, I just didn't really care that much. Overall, I can see how this type of movie can be a guilty pleasure for some, as it is harmless and short, but it feels like it could be a lot better, especially with the talented lead actresses involved in it.
