See more Chris M @RT21954632 Nov 7, 2022 They use the same "inspired by real events" fake tagline a lot of crap movies use. The real event is that strange thing when people dressed as clowns and stared at people for no reason in 2014. The real clowns never killed anyone. So this load of bullshit is just to sell tickets to a shit movie. Another reason to be wary of when a horror movie uses "inspired" by true events. The pacing was awful. Plus it's not like the phone was stolen to lure them into a trap. If the phone was so important to her, she wouldn't be that clumsy or remembered long before they were miles away from the diner.
