Lisa @LisaG246 1d This was totally different from what I was expecting and I was frankly hesitant since I am the caregiver of a Husband with stage 4 cancer both of these ladies said things I have thought, late at night in the dark when I didn’t have to hold it together. This film centers on a couple I really didn't know anything about, as well as a topic I am not knowledgeable about, in spoken word poetry. I found myself invested in the story and think the finale packs a major emotional punch. It is a universally accessible story about facing a difficult situation head-on and with artistic expression. Overall, I liked the documentary and was moved by it, and I would even be interested in checking out more poetry, which says something since I don't really read it every day. It follows poet Andrea Gibson and their partner Megan Falley as they navigate a cancer diagnosis with honesty, humor, and deep devotion. The film doesn’t chase inspiration points.
