Cosmic Princess Kaguya is tremendous for the first 90 minutes. Possessed by frenetic, electrified visuals and heartfelt emotional beats, it’s not a miss, but it’s a shame it comes close to being one.

2026 kicks off with its first top ten film of the year – exquisite animation, special effects that cost a fortune every second, a heart-wrenching twist in the last 20 minutes, and subtle hints and foreshadowing hidden in every line of dialogue spoken by Yachiyo. I wish I could have seen it in a movie theater!

Cosmic Princess Kaguya! Is, in my opinion, a wonderful, heartwarming and really fun Story! I find that the Character's are both loveable and Fun! The Humor is also amazing in my opinion! The Songs are beautiful too! I can only recomand it!

The piece looks visually impressive and is very emotionally touching for me. I found it powerful and engaging, and it really spoke to me on a personal level. At times, however, it moves quite fast, and therefore it was hard to keep up with the story. Still, I felt strongly connected to the message, and I believe many others will as well

>>Overall<< I think this is the best original animated film Netflix has every released up till now and it's not even close. Even though there can be more to the story, I think they did good enough with it. All the foreshadowing were connected by the end of the film which makes the story feel complete. I would say they put a lot of effort in details from the characters' actions to the songs' lyrics, it's like every part of the film is foreshadowing what is going to happen next, which makes the story mysterious and also interesting. The film is funny, wholesome, mystique, blood-boiling all in one and it's worth to watch.
