Richard L @KaneLives 1 day ago I keep giving Shiraishi chances because of his reputation, but he's up to his old tricks again - literally recycling the concept of his earlier film Shirome (a concept which I absolutely love in theory, by the way), this time with the spooky situations he should've used on that film where he could count on actual fear instead of poor acting. Cult starts off promising enough, but spirals out of control together with the director's silly floating black squigglies, quickly becoming overstuffed and too anime-esque to take seriously.
