After a raid on the rural home of the psychopathic Firefly family, two members of the clan, Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon Zombie), manage to flee the scene. Heading to a remote desert motel, the killers reunite with Baby's father, Capt. Spaulding (Sid Haig), who is equally demented and intent on maintaining their murder spree. While the trio continues to torment and kill various victims, the vengeful Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe) slowly closes in on them.

It's an audacious piece of filmmaking, but after a while it grows exhausting to watch, particularly when it becomes clear that violence is going to lead to more violence without much story or conscience surfacing.

It has a higher budget, is more artistically shot, and has a few ok moments in it. However, like House of 1000 Corpses, this is really a big bag of nothing. It’s just like watching pigs wallow in the mire.

Rob Zombie never disappoints but this is our favorite of his movies. Seen it 100 times & look forward to watching it again. Seeing it on the big screen again for the 20th Anniversary was awesome though & super stoked we got to do it!!!
