If you enjoy ambiguous movies that are all about theory and less about explanation, this was incredible. Acting was superb, fx was really well done. Surprised it seems to get rated so low. Almost had similar vibes to The Endless or Synchronic. Worth a watch. There are no explosions or fast-paced action scenes either. But if you are looking for something that will make you think, then you are in the right place. This movie explored first contact with aliens/alien tech and how humanity, and specific humans, deal with that. The short story format allow you to experience several different perspectives on this, in a way that a single story following a few central characters could never achieve. This creative format combined with an impactful representation of how the visiting Doors communicate and 'behave' gets under your skin, if you're willing to embrace the unusual format. This movie is not designed for mass consumption by modern audiences, and the ratings reflect that. Highly underrated as a result. If you want a movie that asks rather than answers questions and makes you think, this one is for you. See more leos not L @scott73 May 17, 2026 so i put this into the cosmic horror sub genre . great acting and kept me engaged till the end but the answer is an okay but never really 100 percent makes that clear . while i get the point its trying to make i would like a clear what these entities or aliens meant anyway the 4 stories are interesting but have no real true end other assumptions you come up with and trust my guess is pretty dark. anyway it’s something to chew on and enough to be okayish at best See more Neil A @RT72485779 Jan 11, 2026 Yikes turned it off after 20 minutes.
