Thrown into hell for his crimes, brutal felon John Milton escapes from the fiery pit after cultists murder his daughter and take her baby. Intent on rescuing the child, Milton joins forces with a waitress, who gives him her ex-lover's fire-red muscle car. In it, the two pursue the cult leader, who plans to sacrifice the infant and unleash hell on Earth. However, the hunters become the hunted when Satan sends his merciless henchman to drag Milton back.

Lussier’s gory action comes with plenty of debris and body parts flying at the audience captured by a fine use of 3D lenses, but with all of the movie’s silly pleasures, it still lacks the style or edge to make it memorable.

I actually really enjoyed this movie, high octane , lots of action and lets face it comedy. It was just all around fun. Not sure why people didn't enjoy it. Personally can't stand Amber Herd but the movie itself was really good. The performances were solid. Good fun movie definitely recommend.

Big names and budget, but maybe that's the problem. It's trying to be a throwback to the old grindhouse genre, but those were low budget films. Doing that style with a big budget and stars, well, very fake. And Amber Heard is from Texas, what is up with that accent?

I was told be a few people to watch this and about how amazing the action is. I was severely disappointed. It is something I might have liked when I was 15 to 19 because of the excessive nudity and over the top violence but by the time I was 22 I was well past that level of immaturity. It does have a few parts without the cartoonish violence and nudity that are actually good however. There are so many worse movies out there but this is far away from being something I can recommend. William Fichtner was actually one of the bright spots and Billy Burke was consistently good as well.

Absolutely terrible, unbelievably fun The dialogue is bad, the characters are often skin deep and the plot is…acceptable. What they come together to form is an extremely funny, great time, which when taken completely unseriously can be extremely entertaining. This movie is Terrible, it’s also terribly fun. A must watch for anyone looking for a movie that is great fun, just perhaps not a family viewing…
