The frozen wasteland of Antarctica serves as the background for a tale about the bonds of friendship and loyalty. Three members of a scientific expedition, Jerry Shepard (Paul Walker), his friend Cooper (Jason Biggs) and an American geologist (Bruce Greenwood), must leave their beloved sled dogs behind after a devastating accident and increasingly perilous weather conditions. There is some solid acting in this film from Paul Walker and Bruce Greenwood. The story is also fairly well done, though I wasn’t on board with the love story as that didn’t seem necessary for the overall plot. The dogs were well trained and played their parts very well. Overall a serviceable movie that I think is worth your time.
