On the night of first harvest, three brothers in the American West set out to see a dead witch buried by their friend. When they accidentally desecrate the body, they learn the only way to stop a curse on their family is to burn it before sunrise. This story deals in many ways with the costs of coming-of-age. To leave the shelter of home and venture off into the unknown under the burden of youthful free will without a grasp of the consequences.

Interesting premise, but this one is less a slow burn and more like a no burn. There isn't a single memorable moment unless you count the endless instances of how distractingly unconvincing it was to cast that girl as a boy. Didn't even hide the boobs. Skip it.

Slow, boring and bad acting especially by the distracting "Adam" character. The radio show portion didn’t even make sense - those are the scenes where you pick up your phone to scroll. This had potential but between the mumblecore, aimless plot, and the aforementioned, it completely missed the mark. And that poor baby - for the love of pampers - let that baby have her real momma already!

Modern Folk horror with interesting story line and good acting. The deserted desert scenes add to the mystery. Not the usual over-done dead livestock gore or cheesy horror.
