When a commercial shoot goes terribly wrong, Rex, Hollywood's biggest canine star, goes missing and is presumed dead by his handlers. Rex takes refuge in a row of lofts, but the structure catches fire, and Rex makes a death-defying leap into a fire captain's (Bruce Greenwood) arms. The man's son, Shane (Josh Hutcherson), becomes Rex's reluctant new master, and the firefighters adopt the dog as their mascot. Trouble looms when Rex's handlers try to get him back.

Firehouse Dog is a run of the mill kids film. Adults will be fairly bored by it, and how many kids like it depends on how much they like goofy animal tricks.

Funny, silly at times, heartwarming, predictable, feel good! Great movie for any kids 7 to 12. And yes, there's lots of jokes about farts, dog farts.

I don't really remember much about this movie but I do know that, while better than your average animal-starring family comedy with a decent premise, the movie relies too much on toilet humour and the talents of the actors are underutilized. Plus, it's forgettable...so yeah, there's that.

I am a big fan of firehouse dog. I can't stop watching it, but I wounded why is there's not a firehouse dog 2 because at the end the man said "I'll come visit you really soon" that makes it to be a good movie 2 start. If everyone knows the Director of the movie I am willing to help. Besides i am a story writer and I'm learning to make a movie of my first story.
