See more Jacob B @JB3.0 Sep 5, 2026 A wonderful family drama with great acting, beautiful music, stunningly filmed scenes, a compelling story and some adorable goslings. My only real criticism would be the character whom TV Tropes refers to as a Designated Villain (although, even if he has a point, maybe don't abruptly try to clip the birds' wings in front of the emotionally vulnerable teenager who's only recently started to recover from her tragic loss at the beginning of the film) because of the reasons mentioned there. Plus some moments that feel like they had scenes cut for pacing reasons such as Anna Paquin saying "See you later" to some classmates she apparently befriended offscreen. But those are minor nitpicks. This is still a really good family drama that stays with you that's honestly underrated. Overall, it’s a heartfelt and memorable film that’s easy to connect with and hard to forget. I’d rate it a 9/10—beautiful, moving, and absolutely worth watching.
