Two horror icons face off in this supernatural movie. Disfigured serial killer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund), who attacks his victims in their dreams, has lost much of his power since citizens of his town have become less afraid of him. Enlisting the help of fellow violent murderer Jason Voorhees (Ken Kirzinger), Freddy orchestrates a new killing spree. However, when the hockey-mask-wearing psychopath won't stop chopping up Freddy's intended victims, the two ghouls start to battle each other.

It is a shame to see so much CGI in 2 franchises known for their practical effects work, but once the script emerges from its introductory exposition phase, the film becomes clever enough to lift these flailing franchises back up from the depths of Hell.

This movie dosent bring Nostalgia back it brings a familiar punk energy in a grossly entertainable way for movie goers that like inverse topics or whatever these mix match type of films are called. Very memorable scenes, the casting for the characters was nice I would say.

You Know About Feng Shui? This movie is so much fun. I love the opening showing Freddy's greatest hits while giving us a cliche Jason moment in modern day. Freddy's bloody teeth are pure nightmare fuel. Both characters look great, and the production design feels authentic. Is this a ridiculous premise? Absolutely. Do I care? No. How are Jason and Freddy alive? I don't know and I don't care. The blood is finally here, and seeing Jason actually mess people up was a relief. The chemistry between mute Jason and Freddy is awesome. I love Freddy using Jason to do his dirty work. Maybe the 2000s are just nostalgic to me, but I love the vibe. I want to party in a cornfield! The dialogue can be rough, with characters constantly explaining their situations. Lori saying "sorry my mom died" was painfully cliche. And what the heck was that fake fart noise in the mental institute? Still, this is ridiculously fun. How often do we get crossovers like this?
