See more Steven S @G0dJester Sep 19, 2026 The first half of the movie offers up an old school low budget slasher flick complete with masked axe wielding maniac. The movie pushes forward with minimal plot, some extremely bad dialogue, and a smattering of bloody murderous animal feedings. Just as the slasher chasing begins to overstay it’s welcome we enter the second half of the movie where we are introduced to a cult of gator worshipers who the slasher has been killing for. This movie is not great but knows exactly what it is and refuses to let a little thing like quality get in the way of some dumb fun. Gator Face is exactly the kind of horror movie that reminds you how much fun the genre can be. From the opening scenes, it grabs your attention and barely lets up. The suspense builds quickly, the pace stays tight, and just when you think you know where the story is headed, it throws something else at you. The Florida swamp setting is fantastic—isolated, eerie and perfect for creating that constant feeling that danger could be lurking anywhere. The use of real alligators and practical effects gives the movie an authenticity and tension that CGI simply can’t replicate. What I enjoyed most, though, is that Gator Face never forgets to be fun. It’s scary, suspenseful, crazy and entertaining without taking itself too seriously. If you like slashers, creature features, grindhouse horror—or simply want a movie that’s exciting and genuinely entertaining—Gator Face is absolutely worth watching. Highly recommended!
