I'm generally okay with disaster movies being dumb, so long as they can construct entertaining action sequences with charismatic characters. Geostorm has none of those things.

Sci fi post apocalittico che trova una nicchia di originalità narrativa in un genere oltremodo sfruttato ma che purtroppo, aggiunge davvero poco all'idea iniziale, se non una serie infinita di clichè del genere e non solo. La sceneggiatura è povera in quasi ogni suo aspetto, dalla scarsissima propensione a capire la situazione di emergenza dei migliori ingegneri al mondo, fino al più classico dei complotti per la distruzione del pianeta. A ciò si aggiungono una serie di personaggi poco interessanti e di dialoghi futili; inoltre la terribile capigliatura di Jim Sturgess è un pugno per la visione. Dimostrazione di come, specialmente in un genere molto di moda, l'alto budget non basti se mancano totalmente le idee alla base.

Geostorm is playing right now, I just got so bored and angry that I figured writing this review might dull the pain. I thought this was going to be a disaster movie, not a speed run through boring exposition and smug, formless dialogue. I can't recommend it to anyone in good conscience, but if you absolutely have to watch it for some reason, do yourself a huge favor and skip the first hour and thirty minutes. Even then, temper your expectations.

Geostorm (2017) starts slow and ends even slower, it is a disaster film and an apocalypse that is happening in several places around the world bringing destruction and death. The CGI in this film is so bad that I can't even watch it through to the end. The only good thing about this immense mess is the well-stacked cast.
