TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 4 days ago Ghost in the Shell, the animated version, is something I never really watched before. I’m not a huge anime person, so I never focused on this type of storytelling, but I have to admit, I thought this was actually pretty decent. It wasn’t bad at all, and the story was surprisingly complex. There was a lot happening that required you to stay focused. I don’t think I’ll revisit or rewatch it, but that has more to do with my personal taste than the quality of the film. I can’t bash it because they did a good job captivating the audience and building a story for people who enjoy this type of anime. It came together well. I will say the animated version is far better than the live-action movie, which I thought was terrible. Seeing Ghost in the Shell on the big screen all these years later was cool. The fact that it has remained relevant and people still show up to watch it says a lot about the impact this anime has had. Definitely worth checking out.
