pat S @taxing May 21 I appreciated director's clean, precise approach in exposition. Purposeful time was spent on revealing each character's mental environment with next-to-no excess material, in ways much like a stage play. The cast was stellar; Streep, Kidman, Moore, and especially Harris owned their parts. The discussion of intent ultimately didn't end up being as important to me as the beauty of the film's presentation. So boring, I can't think of a single interesting scene in this movie. What a shame, considering the cast. The only thing Oscar worthy is Nicole's transformation as she was really unrecognizable, but the performance and the actual movie itself is probably top 5 most boring movies to watch. So today when once again it caught my eye I finally watched it... And man it hits hard. It's not for everyone, this movie is deep and leaves you with a lot of thoughts and gives you a lot of rethinking to do as a homework. And because of that I fckn love it! This story is about 3 women who live in different time periods and how they're prioritizing. Which are played by 3 iconic and incredibly talented actresses. See more Read all reviews
