Jigsaw delivers another thrilling chapter in the SAW franchise, continuing the series’ knack for creating interconnected, almost episodic storytelling that feels like a dark, twisted television saga. Each film in the franchise builds on its predecessors with intricate flashbacks, clever setups, and the signature trapped scenarios, and this installment does not disappoint in that regard. The screenplay is engaging, keeping viewers guessing as events unfold and surprises emerge at unexpected moments. The way the victims are captured and manipulated adds tension and depth, creating a sense of dread while simultaneously showcasing the clever design of each trap. While the series has never been flawless, Jigsaw stands out for its tight narrative and surprising twists, elevating the horror beyond mere gore. It balances the familiar structure with fresh elements, keeping fans invested while offering enough unpredictability to make each revelation feel impactful.

Great direction makes this a much easier watch than most of the franchise. The narrative is smooth, the acting is solid, and the twist ending is a blast. It's certainly better than numbers 9 and 10, the latter of which got such a high RT rating but looked like a cheap B film, even B minus. In the mood for a Saw flick, other than the original? Watch this one.

They brought saw into the modern age. And this film does not disappoint, as we once again see John Kramer. As in the previous installments, there are new characters and an exciting police story. I would never have guessed who the killer is. It is unpredictable, even if the explanation given is not the best, but still okay.
