June Havens (Cameron Diaz) chats up her charming seatmate on a flight out of Kansas, but she doesn't realize that she will soon land in the middle of an international adventure. The plot has good potential but it isn’t explored nearly enough to make this movie remotely interesting. This is just another dumb action movie where you shut your brain off for a few hours, except this one is almost boring.

A terrific pairing of two great actors. Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz have fantastic chemistry that makes this movie endlessly fun to watch. The cinematography is beautiful, the action scenes are exciting without being overdone, and the music score fits the tone perfectly. The plot keeps things moving with just the right balance of humor, romance, and spy-thriller energy. I especially enjoy seeing Tom Cruise in roles like this — he brings charm, intensity, and humor all at once. This is one of those films I’ll happily rewatch anytime it’s on. In fact, I’m watching it again right now (February 2, 2026), and it still holds up. Just a genuinely entertaining movie from start to finish.

It's a little cringe, it's right on the line between a bad movie and a banger but something about it just clicks better than your average movie. Maybe it's the casting choices, maybe it's the cinematography. Something about this movie is magical.
