Gravity meets Alien in this incredibly thrilling cosmic horror tale. The story was intriguing, and the visuals were amazing. The design of the alien managed to both mystify me and terrify me, and the film leaves you with a sense of wonder and terror at what could be living in the cosmos. I definitely recommend this for horror and sci-fi fans!

I thought this movie was excellent, minus a few issues. These smart people make some stupid mistakes and that is annoying. After watching it the first time those things really bothered me and I would have rated it three stars. Upon the second watch, a couple years later (today), I didn't notice them as much. The mistakes seemed more organic than contrived. What I noticed more though was how interesting the alien is and how horrifying the scenes are of it taking its victim. Other reviews say it's no Alien, and I agree. This movie starts with hope, and that makes the descent into horror all the more heavy when things go wrong and when that hope turns into pure fear. The actors are great. The dialogue is very strong. The plot isn't terribly original, but I don't know who watches a horror film thinking they're going to experience something totally original. In my opinion the movie is well done, and it deserves a much higher score than it gets from critics and audience.
