Leto’s grumbling Brit-inflected baritone is an unrecognizable concoction of trilled r’s and plummy vowels — and the best performance he’s done in years. Go to Full Review

Perfectly captures the essence of the beloved 1980s Saturday morning cartoon. Also, Jared Leto is great in this - a scene-stealer as Skeletor. [Full review in Spanish] Go to Full Review

Mike P 36m MAN, was this a super fun movie! I've seen some complaints about the characters already online (despite the movie actually not coming out until today...advance screenings maybe?), and that the movie didn't take itself seriously. Considering the source material is a a cartoon show from the 80s which was created to sell toys to kids, I'm glad! If you know nothing about the cartoon series (any version of them) the previous movie with Dolph Lungren, or anything else, that's ok! It's still a fun movie! If you do, then obviously you'll have a ton of cool easter eggs to look out for. The VFX were awesome! The sets were fantastic. The music was chef's kiss. The story was so fun! AND...I didn't hate Jared Leto in this. It was funny, it was heartwarming, and visually it was VIBRANT! Color saturation was top tier in comparison to so many other movies in the last year. If you're looking for high brow, deep thinking, Academy-award winning acting or direction...this ain't it. Don't get me wrong, the acting was fine, so was the direction and story...but to quote Harrison Ford to Mark Hamill, "this ain't that kind of movie, kid." If you're looking for a fun movie that will make you feel like a kid again, a fish out of water movie with an awesome payoff, this is the movie for you. Even more so if you're familiar with anything that's come before it. Oh, and two last things if you're going to see this movie: 1) Don't see it in 4DX. I saw this with one of my best friends, and good lord those seats really take you out of the movie. I get they're supposed to make you feel more immersed with the seat movement, the flashes of light here and there, the sprays of air in your face, etc...but personally, it had the opposite effect on me. My review is strictly on the movie itself....if I took into account the seats, I would have ranked it a 3.5/5. 2) There are post credit scenes!!! Stay until the end. That's all I'm gonna say. And if you do, and you're wondering WTF, hit me up! See more Shum 37m Overall, the movie is entertaining. Spoiler alert: I wish the immature/clumsiness of Adam didn't spill into He-man. Most of He-Man cartoons portrayed He-man as a mature, wise warrior, as if the wisdom of Grayskull was imparted into him. Also, there was not a clear point as to when Adam became more mature. The death of his dad and his maturity have no clear linkage. See more Connie J 51m A really fun blast from the past! See more John V 53m Let me start by saying that I grew up with the He-Man cartoons and toys, so Im a little partial to it. I went into the movie with pretty low expectations, as I saw the original Masters of the Universe in 1988. While watching the movie, it felt as if they were able to capture the essence of the cartoon. It seemed like the run time flew by, but at the same time it seemed to stall out during times. Overall, the movie was a very well put together adaptation of the cartoon. Hopefully, it can hold its own and see a sequel. See more Shannon 1h Worth the almost 30 yr wait. All the actors played their part well! Loved it, ready for the many great sequels to come See more Nathan 1h must see film for all masters of the universe and he man fans! great action fun characters. Go in knowing it is a fun campy movie not meant to be taken to seriouslym See more Read all reviews
