Dallas H @FozzieMcFly Apr 1 I forgot how many clues were strongly hinted at throughout the movie for the "big surprise twist" that is revealed towards the end. The first three I immediately noticed were being referred to as an "assassin," implying a corporate stooge who pushes cutbacks and layoffs. Still, we find out that it has a literal meaning, not a suggestive one. Second, there was the reflection off the glass, displaying a hallowed, ghostly figure that perfectly aligned with the embodiment of a predecessor. Finally, during the welcoming dinner, it is worth noting who is drinking wine and who is merely taking a few sips of water and not bothering to take a single bite of food. All these very strong hints were all within the first thirty minutes of the movie. After all these observational notes, I still enjoyed watching this movie. Yes, it tries to be metaphysically deeper than it truly is, but it's still a "popcorn flick" I enjoyed. See more Tim V @Shadownomore Nov 27 This movie had somehow escaped my notice but on one boring night I happened across it. With a notable cast, it starts out as a solid, albeit typical story. The acting is good enough, and you get invested. Unfortunately, there's a predictable twist and one that fails to land. By the end of the movie, you're just kind of waiting for the inevitable outcome. A solid premise and decent start, but ultimately falls flat. Good enough for a watch, but definitely a one time deal. Cloak and Dagger, Hanna, Black Widow, Split, Species, blah blah. Taylor Joy and Mara do a great job with what they are given. But, they are not really given a whole heck of a lot.
