The entire ensemble brings it with memorable performances by Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, Martyn Ford as Shao Kahn and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana. An incredibly fun addition to the Mortal Kombat film franchise.

I need these films to pick a lane. Either commit to being a silly Mortal Kombat movie or commit to the tonal poignancy it sets up in the opening minutes, but the attempt to do both is pretty absurd.

This movie did everything we wanted the first one to do. Taking the focus off of Cole Young made him a more likable character. The stakes were high. I do think Bi-Han was underutilized and should’ve been given more but the movie had enough antagonists. Casting was strong with the introduction of new characters. The fight choreography was perfect this time. CGI was noticeable though.

It was really funny and entertaining, one little scene that got my eyes rolling was when Sonya Blade was trying to set lose Kitana and she was crawling for 15 mins. Johnny Cage did a great job at being funny, serious, and fought really well
