The movie was great one of my favorites, but the seats at the Irvine spectrum regal are the worst ever I had the worst neck pain I had to go into my Chiropractor the next day.

As a longtime musical fan, *Moulin Rouge!* is one of those classics that absolutely earns its reputation. The casting is fantastic and the chemistry between the leads is incredible, but Ewan McGregor completely steals the show. His performance is magnetic, and his singing voice is phenomenal. It's still a shame he didn't win the Oscar. There's a lot of nostalgia here too, since it was my sister's favorite musical and I watched it countless times growing up. Baz Luhrmann's style is all over this film—maybe even a bit too much, especially with the frantic editing—but there's no denying what an incredible director he is. I came for the song covers and stayed for Ewan's unforgettable performance. ★★★★½
