They grind their way through the movie until the end when a fairly interesting plot element in a picture is wasted in an all too convenient and unlikely ending where certain major illegalities are ignored for the purpose of achieving the happy ending. There's an attempt by the filmakers to create some depth to her character and she truly had some acting chops. Richard Crenna, on the other hand, was surprisingly cringe-inducing as her suitor.
