If Over the Hedge aims solely to entertain, it does so in a way that's mildly amusing but mostly hackneyed. If it aims to instruct, it weakens its own argument with the plethora of product tie-ins.

Over the Hedge was a great movie. Steve Carell did so good at playing Hammy, he is my favorite character. Bruce Willis makes a great RJ. The movie has great music as well.

May be too chaotically simple-minded as nonsensically processed, it cartoonishly focuses on woodlands critters surviving deforestation and newfound suburbia housing clever satirical punches slickly executed in conjunction with splendidly performed comedic energy that’s zanily similar to "Madagascar" more capturing the fueling hyperactivity. (B+)
