Jack Flange (Alex O'Lachlan), a native of Sydney, loves the city life. But when he learns his sister, Nikki (Claudia Harrison), is injured, he heads for her small beachfront town to help out. Initially taking on backbreaking work as an oyster farmer to cover Nikki's hospital bills, Jack finds that he needs more cash than the job brings in. After falling for a local girl and having run-ins with his boss and his ex-wife, Jack hatches a plan to recover a batch of missing cash that has been stolen.

If only you could shuck away the humdrum shell of a story about a guy who steals money and hides out among the local river workers, you might have an interesting documentary about shellfish.

I think maybe this movie was harvested before its time because, just like an oyster, it blows its juice too soon and then it's pretty much worthless after that.

Nice story about a guy with a plan to get rich quick backfiring somehow. Like so many englishes though, he is full of it. This would be a TV movie, pleasantly displaying the local lives. Well played and well developped characters. We get to feel the home in this place with warm and pleasant weather every day. Romance wins more than money here.

Synopsis
