A relentlessly gritty, terrifying and intense horror thriller that doesn't hold back on the gore. Go to Full Review

Pitfall is an accurate way to describe how this sloppily edited and idiotic horror movie sinks into a cesspool of clichés and plot holes. It's yet another low-quality slasher flick about a serial killer on the loose in a remote wooded area. Go to Full Review

know exactly how to deliver what they promise, raise the stakes then give more than expected. It is a perfect blend of savvy, cynical marketing without sacrificing quality. Spectacular! Go to Full Review

Pitfall isn't the worst of its kind, but the script could have certainly been pared down to its most basic parts. Go to Full Review

You expect the characters to be subjected to bloodletting torture, but their encounters with a hooded psycho can't compare to the agony evoked through the low-IQ machinations of a quintet of 20-somethings so annoying you cheer for their rapid demise. Go to Full Review

Despite decent production values and a few impressively gnarly kills, Pitfall is one of the more unpleasant horror movies of the year. Go to Full Review

Tom 5d Awesome early summer survival horror jam See more Jack S @RT33832522 13h The first half of the movie is rushed and feels like an iMovie trailer then in the middle and final act (which is decent to say the least. Which I'm giving a lot of points for btw and the kills.) which feels like an Imovie trailer but not so much. The movie is rushed and has bad acting and dialogue, specifically from the guy who falls in the pit for the rest of the movie. The movie starts its horror way too early. There were no time stamps on the flashback and I didn't get it. It makes no sense to me some of the happenings. Everyone is one-dimensional, and it sucks. There's also too much music and jump scares. I forgot to note that the bad acting was very CW-drama-coded; the same goes for the emotional music too. I forgot to mention the kills are gory good, nasty, and grotesque to say the least. There’s no strong atmosphere sadly btw. See more Ashish G @Ashishgunjal7 13h This is a very tense survival thriller movie. The story follows a group of friends who find themselves in a very dangerous situation and how they fight to survive. It also includes plenty of suspense, emotional moments, and shocking scenes. I enjoyed this movie a lot, Overall, it is a solid for thriller lovers. See more Stuart F @stueygeorge 14h The woods are for the birds man. A survival thriller with plenty of jump scares and gore, plus Alex Essoe! The scenario isn’t original but the filmmakers make the most of it- the ending is especially batsh*t bonkers. See more Charles E @neocccp 17h I thought it was total garbage. The acting was abysmal, the kills were really stupid, the editing/pacing was super bad (like a 90s television film) and the camera work was very amateurish. Go watch Backrooms, Obsession, Hokum or even a mid ass film like Passenger instead over this. See more Emily B @NitemareMedia 18h I have been waiting for this movie, I first got to see it thanks to Panic Fest, and then it got a limited theater release. I knew I had to see Pitfall on the big screen, so I drove 3hrs to the nearest theater, and it was worth the travel. The kills were beautifully brutal! The main characters were all likeable and the back and forths between Lars and Charlie were great. Honestly reminded me of myself and my friends, me being the sarcastic mouth who didnt want to go camping in the first place. This movie has beautiful visuals that make you feel trapped in the hole, the movie has glorious deaths (with practical effects), characters are relatable and acted well by everyone involved. Was even better on the big screen! Pitfall isn't just your typical camping gone wrong/lost in the woods movie. This is a hunter and prey suspense film that leaves you on the edge of your seat, makes you laugh, tear up, and feel hopelessness and dread. "God, I f**king camping." See more Read all reviews
