An action-packed thriller where five ballerinas, on their way to a prestigious dance competition, are barely on speaking terms when their bus breaks down in a remote forest. With no other options, they reluctantly seek shelter at an unsettling roadside inn run by Devora Kasimer (Uma Thurman), a reclusive former ballet prodigy. This is a pretty good female led action movie. Not as good as 95% of Ballerina, but pretty good. A group of American ballerinas are going to a competition somewhere is the Balkans, I forget where and get stranded when their bus breaks down. That's when they make the first of a lot of bad decisions. Whenever possible, they run straight for the shed full of chainsaws. I get tired of people in action/suspense/horror movies making stupid decisions in order to keep the story going. But the humor and action are good, if you can forgive the brain dead actions of the lead characters.

I loved it from beginning to end. It did have some parts that were a little hard to believe, but it truly kept me interested in what was coming next. Loved seeing Uma Thurman back in a good movie. Action packed !

An entertaining action-comedy of sorts. Nothing too special, it’s just a lot of fun. Ballerinas slitting dudes throats with razors attached to their feet? Awesome! I like how it logistically found ways for it to make sense that these ballerinas are able to defeat these large guys via their razor blades and natural skills, and I think the film does well with its concept. Is there anything beyond its bare-bones plot? Nope. Absolutely not. It’s not a complicated, thematically interesting movie, nor is it trying to be. And that’s fine. I will say, I found the use of Uma Thurman to be somewhat underwhelming. Like, it’s fine I guess, but her just going crazy by the end of it didn’t feel particularly satisfying. But overall, I was satisfied enough with the movie. It’s pretty good, I guess. Definitely for a streaming-original, anyway.

I was very impressed by Maddie Ziegler and the cast! The movie was action packed and with fun to watch. It reminded me of Becky (2020) and Abigail (2024). I can honestly say that I don’t understand the bad ratings, other than haters being haters.
