The time-travel idea is interesting at first, and there are a few moments that make you want to keep watching, but the film does not fully use its concept in a memorable way. The found-footage style gives it a different feel, though it can also make some scenes harder to enjoy. The characters are decent enough, but none of them stand out as especially strong or unforgettable. It feels more like a movie with ideas than a movie with a lot of depth. There is enough here to stay mildly entertaining, especially if you like teen sci-fi stories, but it also feels uneven and a little forgettable. A better script and stronger execution could have made a big difference. Overall, Project Almanac is not terrible, but it is not all that impressive either.
