It really is a fun short with a warm relationship between two women at its center that'll make your heart flutter even if they're just supposed to be fairytale "friends."

Cute on the outside with its excellent character designs and blackhearted on the inside with its satire, "Revolting Rhymes" is definitely not for innocent kiddos.

I saw them a long time ago on iPlayer and forgot all about it, but when it came back 10 years later, I really liked it. It takes a brilliant spin on the classic fairy-tales, the animation looks great even by 2016 standards, the wolf character is great and the acting is amazing. Its shocking to know that it was by the same people that made the Gruffalo films.

Perhaps one of the most faithful adaptations of Dahl's work, 'Revolting Rhymes' keeps all of the wit and cruelty of his writing intact while enveloping it within a genuinely interesting framing device that keeps its audience captivated.
