Kyle M @RT77296778 7 hrs ago Across the course of the series as if each film is a round with nuanced stances physically determined, Balboa started strong till he eventually faltered when the ring became more philosophical when the opposing punches aimed to challenge him more. But his comeback here as the more formal finale to the definitive, representational strength is an unexpected but ideally matching emotional culmination of his journey’s buildup faithfully fond out of utterly emitted reminiscence. Cheerfully mesmerizing and a humane triumph that poetically befits the series with Stallone granting the best of his career’s beginning hope between his magnum opus under direction and tour de-force, exemplar performance that collectively instilled a more open heart. I watched it in the cinema in London when it was released and 2 younger men were cracking jokes about it at the start mocking it. I very rapidly told them to STFU….have some respect, Rocky is an icon! Let’s not forget film can be about story-telling, mythology and escapism. Stallone leans heavily into nostalgia and melancholic drama, portraying an aging Rocky grappling with grief, loneliness, and the toll of time. Although the plot stretches credibility a bit to justify the veteran's return to the ring against a much younger champion, the film’s heart is in the right place. It serves as an honest and moving conclusion for fans of the saga.
