When David Greene (Brendan Fraser) receives a football scholarship to a prestigious prep school in the 1950s, he feels pressure to hide the fact that he is Jewish from his classmates and teachers, fearing that they may be anti-Semitic. He quickly becomes the big man on campus thanks to his football skills, but when his Jewish background is discovered, his worst fears are realized and his friends (Matt Damon, Chris O'Donnell) turn on him with violent threats and public ridicule.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, as cenas são fracas, a história é fraca, o elenco é fraco, e ninguém ajuda a melhorar o filme, os personagens são fracos, e o filme deveria ter cenas bem melhores e relevantes, para fazer o filme ser bom

This is one of those movies that stuck with me growing up, I was immediately drawn to Brendan Fraser's character and was seriously pissed when they started tormenting him. Great story, great acting, great film.

I thought it had a pretty amazing cast of young actors who are now some over Hollywoods biggest stars. I remember watching this years ago during class toward the end of the year and even in 7th Grade the movie was captivating. The story of Davids plight of being the new kid at such a prestigious prep school would not be easy for any kid. He is the kid who has street smarts, as well as his book smarts. Both of which he uses throughout the film and shows just what kind of man David was brought up to be.
