Brina L @Brina374 Mar 23 SO GOOD! Lana Parrilla was the draw and she slayed as ALWAYS. But I truly loved Anthony Rapp and Vivian Kerr as screwed up siblings Ben and Beth. You Can Count on Me was the obvious reference, and even if some moments were a bit derivative of that film, the film is just as heartfelt and funny and similarly really nails its ending. See more Lana A @RT39884084 Aug 16 Seriously amazing acting!! Vivian Kerr as Beth is out here giving what’s probably the most overlooked indie film performance of 2024. Her emotional depth, willingness to lean into Beth’s selfishness and sarcasm, is beautifully aligned with an equally incredible performance by Lana Parrilla as lawyer Stacy, going through IVF and struggling with her desire for motherhood. Lana is so soft and vulnerable in this! Her scenes at the Doctor's office convey without words the pain and fear so women deal with when it comes to infertility. Her every gesture and facial expression were perfection and made me cry. Stuck between them in Anthony Rapp as Ben, wanting to help his wife and sister, and not sure how to do it. This is a film that puts difficult relationships front and center, full of authenticity and heart, and leaves you feeling so much empathy for this dysfunctional family. Truly an incredible film!
