Sophie, a young blind woman, house-sitting at a secluded mansion, finds herself under invasion by thieves seeking a hidden safe. Her only means of defense: a new app called "See For Me." It connects her to a volunteer across the country who helps her survive by seeing on her behalf. Sophie is connected to Kelly, an army veteran who spends her days playing first person shooter games. Sophie is forced to learn that if she's going to survive the night, she'll need all the help she can get. A blind teenage girl who ends up being not so powerless after all.

This would have easily been a 4-star review ... it was only the dislike I felt for the lead character, Sophie. She was so bitter and belligerent -- not appreciating anyone who was trying to help her or care for her -- even her mother. So, to me, she came off as a snotty brat. Yes, life had handed her a lemon or two; but you can either accept things and move on as best you can, or you can allow life to make you a bitter, unlikable person. I've known people like this. Having lost my oldest son a couple of decades ago, I worked very hard at grieving in order to finally get to acceptance. I did not want to allow life to beat me down and make me a bitter, negative person -- making everyone around me miserable. So, the movie was very good, with the exception of the main character being pretty unlikable.

Synopsis
