In 1976, singer Jackie Moon (Will Ferrell) uses the profits from his only hit single to fulfill a longtime dream of owning a basketball team. His team, the Flint Michigan Tropics, is the worst team in the league, and what's more, the franchise may fold when the ABA and NBA announce plans to merge. It's up to Jackie and the Tropics to turn their game around and slam-dunk their chance for survival.

Number 10ish in my top Will Ferrell movies, the critics don't get it and that's fair enough. Jackie Moon is a classic character with a great song. Good solid sports comedy

This is honestly one of my favorite sports movies. Will Ferrell is really good as the iconic Jackie Moon and Woody is once again good in a basketball role. This movie has all the classic tropes that early to mid 2000-2010’s comedy’s had. Easy watch and always a good comfort movie.
