Luke Chisholm (Lucas Black) is a young golfer who's about to take a swing at the big time. Luke, however, has a big blow-up that makes national news, drives away his father/coach, and seemingly scuttles his once-promising career. While driving along a Texas back road, Luke crashes through the fence of eccentric rancher Johnny Crawford (Robert Duvall). Johnny makes Luke an irresistible offer: spend a week with him in the tiny town of Utopia and see if Luke can change his life.

Then it all goes south. This movie teaches you to believe in your abilities. Awesome for the family to watch together. Through many life lessons and soul searching brings this young man back to trusting in God. This great movie 1 I highly recommend and I’m not going to give too much more away than that uh just gonna have to see the film for yourself. Definitely a touching performance by Robert Duvall I think you will really like this film ,so I highly recommend this one to everybody of all ages. The whole time in Utopia was one long golf lesson by the entire town essentially. There was a love interest that we never got to see where it goes which was frustrating. The fact it includes faith, love and belief in more than the sport is a bonus. I don't see this as a faith based movie, even if it is, or was meant to be. It helps put the pieces together over an hour and a half of life lessons compartmentalized into a meaningful message. Now the Bobby Duvall is gone, it rises up even higher for me.
